karlajayyy for Rose Fergus
Rose Fergus is a 20-year-old woman who lives in the slum area of Dockerton. She is a good, honest person who had a good upbringing in the more affluent part of Midtown. However, after a recent and vicious assault, Rose’s life has fallen apart. The case was bungled by the police and the perpetrator escaped conviction. Rose lost her job as a bartender during the case, and she has become somewhat of an outcast. Feeling lost and alone, she turned to drugs and is now using sex work as a way to make a living. Once innocent and somewhat naive, she now regards the world in a more cynical light, and her voice reflects the burden that she now carries.
Voice is medium to high pitch.
(Dismayed, appalled when told by the police that her attackers may escape conviction) “I thought you said this was a sure thing. I mean, it happened in broad daylight. There were witnesses.”
(Angry, overwrought as she reveals how she’s being taunted by the people who hurt her) “Do you have any idea what these scumbags are doing to me? I see them outside my window at night. They follow me on the street. The Fortunatos. They’re taunting me, terrifying me. Making a game out of it for their own amusement.”
(Awkward, embarrassed by the state of her apartment when a visitor arrives) “Sorry, the place is a bit of a mess. I’ve been busy lately, haven’t had a chance to clean up.”
Thank you!
