The Bread for Smiley
Heads up: Smiley doesn’t appear often in the game and is mainly behind a screen. They have very few but impactful lines
Who are they?
A figure who wears a strange helmet and goes by the name “Smiley”. Who’s Smiley? Nobody knows. They don’t appear that often, is it because Smiley is also participating? Or is Smiley behind a screen attempting to trick everyone into losing trust in one another? Are they bluffing?
Voice description:
In the game, Simon notes that the figure has a distorted voice and we don’t know if they’re a man or a woman. Try to have some fun to figure out what you think works well with them.
[First introducing himself] “Smile and shine, everyone. I am Smiley. Please listen carefully to all that I will say as I will not repeat it. You will be missing crucial details to your survival if you choose to ignore me”
[Explaining the rules of the game] “You all have a collar with a number on each of them. Specifically, the numbers 1 through 8. To see those numbers, you will need someone to push the red button on the back, which is when it will temporarily appear. This collar is extremely important, as it is both your salvation and your demise”
[Telling a story] “There was a girl who had done terrible things, a long time ago...”
