○ Description :
Opheliah is the main character in SaS, and is very much a product of her upbringing. Only able to comfortably speak with the dead, Opheliah is an awkward, aloof young woman with a talent for gravespeaking and necromancy. Opheliah is hopelessly in love with the Grand General, Christina, and the story follows her attempts to become closer with the woman she’s enamored with.
○ Traits :
Opheliah has a soft, distant voice, as if part of her is always lost in thought. She is aloof, cunning, caring, although her naivety and cowardice get in the way of her goals, oftentimes.
(Opheliah is greeting someone she's just met.)
"It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Opheliah, High Gravespeaker of Ivyfield. I don't often speak with the living, but I suppose that's something I'll have to get used to, isn't it?"(Opheliah is speaking an incantation to summon a spirit of the dead.)
"From the grave, I summon thee to this material plane from your hallowed realm. O', spirit of the beyond, I ask that you answer my shadowed call, and appear before me on this night."(Opheliah is explaining an occult spell to her friend, going off on a tangent)
"I'm honestly surprised you hadn't heard of this before. I long believed the occult to be common in everyone's lives, but... I suppose it's a rather unique part of my upbringing. No matter- you simply add the sage to the rose petals, seal the jar with wax, and you're finished. Simple, yes?"
