[Captain Daniels is briefing the team.]
We’ve been redirected to rendezvous with the USCSS Icarus. 48 Hours ago, an automated distress call was received by Fleet Headquarters, and by all accounts she’s been adrift since. She’s an Auriga class research vessel, primarily involved in the study of XX121.
[pause]
Standard operating procedure on this one gentlemen. 48 hours is outside of the rescue window. Standard recovery of the flight black box as well as the research data core.
[To Badger.]
Mr Williams, your contract with us expires in 7 days does it not?
[BADGER: "Yes sir."]
I’m not sure what bright spark put you on the board for this one, I’ll get Anders--
[BADGER: "Not necessary sir. I can still do my job." Captain nods.]

[Captain Daniels is on the bridge of his ship. He’s mad, certainly sounding firm and loud, but not quite yelling.]
