King Shinana hires Delorin and his crew at the beginning of the series and realizes that they have been scamming him. He ends up recognizing Dai's courage and attitude and wants to recognize him as a hero. He is a very considerate and compassionate King. 

I picture his voice sounding regal, and older, but also very warm and king.
