BlessedWithAVoice for Marisol "Muerta" Calavera
Marisol “Muerta” Calavera
Time Period: New New Mexico. Genesolaris Era X1 , 2642
Voice: She has Mexican ancestry, but comes from a futuristic world that has blended together. Therefore a Mexican/Spanish accent would be nice, but it is not necessarily required.
Personality: Witty and heroic.
Backstory: Marisol Calavera was born a Special, a person with genetics that provide an affinity to superhuman traits. She has the unique ability to absorb the energy of living things she touches, giving her super strength and healing amongst other things to the extent of what she absorbs. If she absorbs too much she could very likely kill the being she touches. Though Specials are a rare group, they have been recently accepted into society and no longer hunted out of fear and experimented on by the governments.
Marisol grew up inspired by stories of mysterious vigilantes, helping to keep the world safe and using their Special powers to stop villains. She knew that one day she was going to be one of those heroes. After hard work and training she decided it was time to just that. Under the title of “Muerta” she roamed the streets with a vigilante team, stopping evil threats and doing her best to save the day. One day she absorbed too much energy, going out of control and her own team had to work together to stop her. She has always feared that her powers would lead to others seeing her as a villain, and now she works twice as hard to be seen as a hero.
(Narration) This is a new one. Either I am in some kind of pocket dimension or that guy killed me and I am dead. So this must be what hell looks like then? Kind of disappointing really.
(Narration) I feel the creature’s life flit in and out as I grab onto its slimy tendril. Draining the very essence of the beast into my heart and soul. The sensation of power invigorates my bones. I know I should let go, but this small taste of strength is intoxicating. I want… no… I desire more of it.
(Dialogue) Welcome to purgatory, where things get odder by the minute and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
