Rin Yamaoka is trying to just be a normal Japanese girl going to college at Takamatsu University. The problem is that she's inherited extreme anger issues from her bloodline. She's intelligent and has a truly caring softer side, but a deep rage lies within her that tends to slip out whenever even the smallest of thing goes poorly.
VA THINGS: Accent wise, it is optional. She can either sound north American, or have some sort of Japanese accent. If she does have a Japanese accent, it shouldn't be super thick, unlike her ancestor, the Oni. Also, please try to find various deliveries when it comes to her anger. The character will be very one note if all of her anger comes out in the same way. If you want inspiration, think about Courtney from the Total Drama series. Something close to that energy.
NOTE: In wake of recent events in the USA, I'd love to cast a woman of Asian descent in this role. However, if you're not Asian, feel free to audition! I'm looking for talent first and foremost, your race will not disqualify you from casting.
