Avan is the true hero that defeated the Demon Lord years ago, or at least who he thought was. He becomes Dai and Pop's teacher and trains them to become hero's although his time is cut short with them. This is an important role and does have a major fight scene, but he no longer appears following that so it is a short term role.

He needs to sound strong but proper and dignified like a teacher. But needs to be able to be tough and fight when needed.
