Flora is Firefly’s mother, only a bit younger than Hobbs. She was a soldier in the same wars as he, and they’ve worked together since their early days. She served him during the founding of Luniper as well. Flora is a strict, no-nonsense type though she has a soft spot for her children. She ‘tolerates’ Valentine, though is open about not wanting Firefly to be around her, despite them being best friends. At the end of the first episode, we learn Flora’s real name is Seraphine and that she’s a Sun Kingdom Crocaboo who has been hiding in Birusa as a spy, looking for an ancient lost object to return to the Sun God.
It is my duty as sunborne to see through King Cyrus’ wishes. It is your duty to follow orders instructed by myself. It would be a shame to report back only to give him bad news. After all, you wouldn’t want to be a disappointment to your king, would you?
