FungalDragon for Kazan Yamaoka (the Oni)
Kazan has gone from the savage samurai, ravaging through feudal japan, to the oyabun of the Yamaoka-Oni clan of the Yakuza. Much like his great great great great great great granddaughter Rin, he wants to be a better person and control his rage. But he still has very strong samurai ideals, a mega patriot for Japan. He's a traditionalist, which causes problems with the only family he has left.
For vocal delivery, I think his voice should be relatively deep and intimidating. However, he has a soft spot and deep down a passionate and caring heart.
NOTE: The Japanese accent can range from weak to very strong, as long as it's not offensive. Also, in light of recent events in the USA, I'd prefer to cast an Asian VA for this part; especially since Kazan is a proud Japanese man. However, if you are not of Asian descent, you are completely welcome to audition for this part! I am looking for talent first and foremost, your race will not disqualify you from this part.

HOW DARE YOU BASTARDIZE THE YAMAOKA NAME!
(heartfelt for the first time in his life) When I lost my father...it drove me over the edge….I have never recovered since then. (pause, a breath) Perhaps I was...irrational...for seeking vengeance by pillaging the villagers….I...I apologize, Rin. I love you. May we agree to disagree.
