Maria is Megan’s younger sister, but she is becoming a superhero, more attractive and more powerful, fueled by Jake’s fantasies about comic book heroines. She wants him, despite the fact that he is dating her sister and will stop at nothing to seduce him, drawing on her increasing irresistible attractiveness and superhuman abilities to tempt him to an ever growing degree throughout the course of the story, even as he tries to resist.
She essentially becomes the living embodiment of temptation for Jake over the course of the story.
“But even if it sounds bad, it’s true! My body’s just growing so fast, and there are these model scouts trying to hire me, and guys hitting on me. It’s just a lot to take in, you know?”
“I just keep growing stronger, keep gaining more powers, and just keep getting sexier. I’m already beyond the girl you showed me in the comics, don’t you think?”
“Every guy in school does favors for me now, Jake. I haven’t done any homework all year, but my teachers are all men, so I just ask them to give me an A, and they do. It’s sooo easy.”
