Untitled Japanese Romance Novel by KC Shea
gregar31 for Masashi Kubo
Mashashi is stuck up and entitled, he is a child of privilege and heir to a fortune. The world has always opened it's doors for him, and he has rarely had to deal with any inconvenience.
New York City was the only place Masashi could ever see himself living. But then again, he really felt that way about any large city. He had debated to himself on the plane whether he'd rather live in New York or Paris, before deciding he might just split his time between both. Normally Masashi would take an Uber wherever he went, but this morning felt like the right time to walk the city streets. As the yellow cabs passed him by, he imagined the subway cars flying by under his feet.
He looked at the other pedestrians around him through dark sunglasses, and one thought hung in the front of his mind. They had no idea how rich he was. The realization made him grin with delight, this must be what it was like for royalty to walk among the commoners. He stepped up to the door of a boutique men's clothing store and rapped the glass door with his knuckle. A bespectacled doorman cracked it slightly.
"I'm sorry sir, but we're clo-" He began before the younger man interrupted.
"I've reserved a private shopping time, now are you going to let me in, or am I going to have to tell your supervisor you're delaying me?" Masashi pulled his glasses down, and his eyes nearly bored a blazing hole into the man. With that, the door was flung open to him and he waltzed in with ease as if he owned the store and everyone in it.
Moments later, Masashi was standing near a mirror, admiring how a quilted peacoat looked on him. When he felt his mobile phone begin buzzing in his pants pocket, he whipped it out only to see a Tokyo-based number he didn't recognize. He silenced the device and went back to his reflection, the corner of his mouth lifting into a smirk. "I'll take this, for sure." he said to the attendant, "Don't bother wrapping it up, just put it on my bill."
