- Scott Pilgrim is a pugilistic and somewhat daft young Torontonian seeking to court the grounded, seen-it-all Ramona Flowers, a multicolor-haired young jet-setter whose seven exes must be bested prior to winning her heart. More specifically, Scott Pilgrim is a 23-year-old (22 in film and 24 in volumes 5-6) bass player for the band Sex Bob-Omb with his friends Stephen Stills and Kim Pine; he plays a Rickenbacker 4001c 64, 4003 in the film. Scott for the most part does not respect himself, he has no self-respect, video game addict, very little compassion for those he actually cares about and the benefit to himself even going as far to put himself accidentally for the most part in a disadvantageous position.
