*EMERGENCY CASTING* My Choker Audiobook (historical supernatural horror audiobook)
AlexBarnesVA for Jean-Paul Dunkelheit
A true gentleman of his time, Jean-Paul tries to fit the fashion and mold of the Victorian agenda. He knows most people are not truly as conservative as they appear, but he acts upon this image all the same anyway. He is responsible and smart, constantly worrying over his little sister, Charlotte. Jean-Paul usually means very well, but his actions are not always the best.
He has endured abuse as a child and watched his family tear each other apart. He did all he could to get away and build his own life.
It is said that his accent is a Frankenstein of English, German, and French, though he has the strongest English out of his siblings since he had English playmates and peers as a child. An English accent is preferred, but if you do not have one, that is also fine.
There is a segment where he is a youth (10-16)
As though signing off a letter - “With All My Love, Jean-Paul, Son of Dunkelheit”
Caring (meeting his little sister's sweetheart) - “Charlotte is a fine woman. I trust that you will not take her for granted for any moment.”
Enchanted/in love - "It’s a funny thing, she is just about my age, yet I find her beautiful all the same. Our youth is fleeting, in a couple years, we will both be thirty. But I do not want to rush things. I want to take my time and see if there is potential for marriage."
In an authoritative yet loving tone - “You are my little sister and I love you, all I want is to protect you and keep you safe.”
Annoyed and strict - “I forbid it! I told you that I want you to have no part in my life!”
Sarcastic - "By the way, you’re the parent. Could you maybe set the example and try not to throw tantrums over everything? I don’t know how Charlotte puts up with you or has over these past 20 years...”
An unusual outburst from him during an emotional state - “What did she say about me in her journals, Charlotte?! I know you read them, so what did she say?! Did she say she hated me? That I was a pest?”
Gentle with reluctance - “There is something else, love...someone else. This is the Count Von Dunkelheit...my father.”
As a child sassy/lecturing - You’re going to break your instrument like that.”
