Goku is the main protagonist but is also a comedic relief in the show. This is abridged after all. Most characters in the series are comedic. The voice of Goku in TFS didn't have a macho voice if that makes sense, so you don't have to make him sound heroic although I will still consider any type of voice you think best fits him. Use TFS's version as a reference.
