Hey again. You ever considered getting a better mic? I like a lot of what I hear here, but if I were director I probably wouldn't cast you because most of the other actresses have better microphones with more broadcast quality. There are 4 ways to get better quality auditions that are more attractive to directors. One is obviously practice. Two is finding a room that has zero noise and zero echo (I turned my walk-in-closet into a voice studio....My hangups absorb sound. I also grab the couch cushions from my living room and line the closet walls with them when recording for more sound absorption). Three is getting better at audio editing (I use the free program Audacity to add equalization to my recordings making them a bit livelier and boomier, edit out breaths and poor quality takes, and most of all....remove noise and static with the 'noise removal' tool). And four, which is the most important next to practice....getting a better mic. You can get an AT2005 USB mic for $55 on Amazon. Here's what it sounds like: https://youtu.be/EHgSC3C0pTw?t=25s Also in the $45-60 price range are the Blue Snowball and Samson Meteor USB mics. Here's a neat video of both of them: https://youtu.be/iQK8DFgpyAA?t=4m32s

I have considered getting a new microphone, and the one I use is literally attached to a gamer headset in pieces. The mic is the only working part. I do plan on getting a better microphone when I have the chance. I'll try again with what I have, and see if I can obtain a better mic sooner rather than later.
