That’s what I’m saying. Help is relative. And, well. Protecting everybody is a pretty tall order. It’s hard to do that in just one way.
(Dying via spider venom) Well, you know me. I tried to charm our new friends, and I uh… think it worked a bit too well.
I liked the jubilation with "bring the toast over here, Mako!" as if Marv were ordering a round of drinks. Your two takes were distinct and worked well for the character, the second take in particular. Line 2 is probably the biggest area for improvement, as it felt more "read" and less natural than the other lines. I think part of it was that the tone you were going for didn't quite match the intent of the line as written, which was for a more sincere, gentle Marv.
