Zitz was originally a human game tester named Morgan Ziegler, who much like his buddies was transformed into a toad upon entering the Gamescape. He's the team's leader and most intelligent of the group, being differentiated from the other Battletoads by wearing a utility belt, gloves and a wrist computer, as well as studded knee pads. His advantage is not brute force, like Pimple's, which he compensates with his intelligence. Zitz is shown to have a severe lack of self-confidence, often trying to assert his position as the team's leader. In this game, after the defeat of the Topians and helping their former arch nemesis, The Dark Queen, turn over a new leaf, they hop on a ship after receiving a new distress signal, however, their ship gets caught in a wormhole and crash land on a new world. Despite that, the distress signal pointed that they are in the right location, just ahead, the Battletoads get awestruck view of a magnificent floating city with a massive stadium in the center!

Zitz sounds down to earth, sounds slightly nasally, almost nerd-like, shows lack of self-confidence of his leadership position and often reminds his teammates that he's the team leader.
