The pilot is simply the team's vehicle operator. Typically he is usually almost always in a chopper, but in some scenarios, the pilot can show up in other vehicles such as a truck, boat, or even heavy machinery like a tank or armored humvee. His primary role is that he is a vehicular specialist and normally takes charge of making sure the team has an easy way in and out of the area.

The Pilot needs to be prepared to have a firm and clear voice as a majority of their lines will be audio engineered to sound like they are coming from a radio.

The best description I can give when preparing for this audition is to listen to what a stereotypical pilot would sound like when communicating over radio transmission. The Pilot will sometimes have scenes where he will have dialogue that goes deeper than typical airway communication. The pilot's role is that of being the eye in the sky and always having knowledge of when and where the team should be.
