Ahh.. no worries. I have a really good mic. The yeti blue. I don't think it was working right when I recorded it. I am a computer programmer by trade. I am honestly just trying this for fun. I have been told by almost everyone that I should do voice work. I am financially stable and finally able to stop the grind. I could try again with the yeti. Here's the issue, I have six computers in the house. The laptop, which I was using, seems to not like both the yeti and a headset. If I plug in the headset (razor) it will use the headset for the mic. If I unplug the headset, I can hear myself through the speakers and it sounds like echo is looking for narcissus. So, I put a towel over the speakers and try to record that way. The yeti is just too powerful. I was in a room with R21 insulation and I could still hear my husband laughing upstairs on the opposite side of the house. I am at an impasse. My razor headset is the best on the market with built in noise cancelling. I can do almost anything on a computer but I can't seem to get this right. I am not quite ready to build / remodel a corner in a room somewhere and record in a coffin for something that I don't intend to be a career. I am new to all of this and I don't have any friends so I am open to suggestions. I have money and time and a fantastic voice. I just don't know what I should do. I am just as happy going back into my hidy hole and program my socializing away. How is this done normally? What else (besides a coffin in my living room as that will take away from my VR play space) could be done or should I just forget about this and tell people hey I tried, it wasn't for me. I have no strong feelings one way or the other.
