After a moment, Rhien's father, ROWAN, 42, enters the room. He is holding a small, ornate red box in his hand. He looks as though he hasn't slept in days.
ROWAN
Rhien!
RHIEN
Da’!
Father and son embrace each other heartily.
ROWAN
My son!
Rowan steps back and holds his son at arms length. He is astonished to see how much Rhien has grown. His brow furrows.
ROWAN
Gods, you've grown! How long has it been, Rhien? Five years?
RHIEN
Five years.
ROWAN
By the Gods. Too long. And yet it feels as though it's been twice that.
A+ for effort! At least you got the Yorkshire accent, and you got very close. Unfortunately, you simply sound like a younger man trying to sound like an older man. Thank you so much for trying though! There will be plenty of opportunities with other characters. Best of luck!
