Orm is the brother of Aquaman who has taken the throne of Atlantis, as Aquaman leads a life on the surface world. Orm is very angry with humanity and believes they must be destroyed, otherwise they'll destroy Atlantis too, Orm has a sense of go honor, and loves his people and will do anything to ensure Atlantis' prosperity.
"The surface dwellers are a curse upon this world"
"They are ignorant, hateful and vile, they will destroy their own world"
