Dani is a scrappy and hot-headed teenaged girl.  She maintains a fairly prickly and indifferent appearance, but she is fiercely loyal to Hana.  With bullies at school and aloof parents at home, Hana is one of the only people to have shown her unwavering kindness, and she wants Hana to know how much that means to her, even if she has trouble putting it into words.
