BACKGROUND: Hazel Peters is in her late 20s to early 30s. Her boyfriend has recently broken up with her and while she is heart-broken over this loss, she has the need to strike out against him for the harm he did to her and her beloved cat who has passed away.
PERSONALITY TRAITS: Outwardly she's the girl next door. She's kind and thoughtful, especially towards animals; however, she does have a dark, revengeful which comes out at full force in the beginning of the pilot episode. Others may think of her as insecure or lacking confidence, but it takes the event of losing a beloved pet to really bring her out of her shell.
(Prior to this dialogue, which opens up the play) Hazel has come to Raveena and Gus because she wants to seek revenge on her ex-boyfriend, Lewis, who has broken her heart and possibly killed her cat. She says this dialogue to them because her friends had always told her it wasn't really about the cat, but about his loss of control of her. She is still grieving for the relationship even though deep down she knows it was a very toxic one for her) My cat had nothing to do with the breakup. Not directly anyway.
(She reads this from a pamphlet after a fight with her ex. Previously she was hesitant to follow through with her plan, but now has much more drive.
