Think about it this way. In any game of chess there are two opposing sides. Yahweh and his people are the Light pieces. The enemy is the Darkness. We must choose on which side we will play, because guess what? The Light always wins. Every move of the enemy, regardless of how cleverly or meticulously orchestrated, leads to one result.
