Father Jeffrey Martin is the leader of an underground cult that Agent Laszlo discovers on his way through a secret tunnel. The cult has been waiting for someone to come to the city and end their suffering, and they believe Laszlo may be this person. Father Martin assigns Laszlo a task to prove his worth, and when it is complete, he recognizes him as their Chosen One.
