"Is there any reason you're bothering me, profligate?"
(You are an NCR ranger walking around Camp McCarran. The courier approaches you with a letter)
[perplexed]
"A letter? What's the meaning of this?" [brief pause, then a bit nervous] [up close, as if getting in the courier's face]. "I don't know where you got this from, but I'll pay you to keep quiet. Name your price."
(You are a farmer living in a remote region of the wasteland. You rarely get visitors, but were once known for being a legendary marksman with a pistol)
[pleasant]
"Well howdy! I don't get visitors up here very often. So tell me, what can Pistol Pete do for you?"
