Avon sounds like your typical Tom Clancy protagonist. Rough, hard to talk to, and nigh unapproachable with how serious they sound. At the same time, he has a more laid back tone that he uses around his team and those he trusts, thus making him a more two-sided character.
Listen up. We’re being sent to the planet of Imber as a part of Operation: Devil Freedom. Our mission will be to shut down a small Covenant force that has been attacking nearby locals, presumably to set up a station on the planet to recon our naval craft’s flight patterns from the surface. Luckily for us, it’s just a clean sweep; they won’t see us coming. Drop, clear, secure.
Delta! Lock your weapons into your pods, we are t-minus 2 minutes from the drop point! I don’t want to see a single empty pod when we hit the surface!
Not an option until this zone is clear of Covenant outposts. We deal with this problem, then get back on task to help the other teams.
