ANOINTED - BethEl Book One
Madison Garris for Rachel
Rachel is 16 years old but can be voiced by a young woman as well. Though Rachel is young, her voice should not be too soft or two sweet. She’s had a rough, violent, and hard upbringing. She is intense when provoked and has a temper that flares. Rachel is the central character in the book who has found herself in a strange new city with no memory after a violent car accident.
Estimated read time - 45 minutes.
(in a hospital bed and confused)
No! That can’t be right. You must be looking at the wrong chart. I was pregnant! I can’t remember anything else, but I remember that. Do you think I would make up something like this?...You think I’m crazy? You’re the one who’s crazy! What kind of place is this? I’m leaving!”
(just beginning to open up to Cohen, who found her)
I feel stupid telling you this . . .I don’t know what I’m missing by being here. I don’t have memories of a family like you do. At first it bothered me, but now...the feelings I have here are so new. I can’t explain it, but I know I’ve never felt this way before.
(showing strength but still having questions)
I thought I already did that when I said yes to all this! I told you and Rabbi I would do this dream thing and help you find my baby. I chose the Light! How can you say I haven’t turned?
