arsenicflavourednutrients for Araragi Koyomi

I really liked this audition. Your pacing is pretty good, and you have a good conversational tone. In the first line, I would've like to have heard more desperation, just for that first phrase "Well, leaving... about her". Araragi just beat up a little girl and now he's being glared at by Senjougahara who, at this time, is probably quite nearly the most terrifying person he's met. He thinks he's in for a world of trouble and now he's trying to downplay it. I mashed up your audio with mine, and I think the monologue styles would work, but my only concern is the difference in our microphone quality. What microphone do you have?
I have my laptop's built-in mic and then the mic on my little brother's headphones. I fear that I may not know how to operate the headphone mic and I've still been recording on my laptop's mic. I have no idea what brand his headphones/mic set are. :/
I-is my mic bad? >~< I'm sorry. I'm still trying to figure his mic out and I probably won't have it for much longer because he comes home tomorrow. I hope I'm actually using it...I'm probably not. :c I'm probably still using my laptop's mic! Gosh dangit.
So what should I do? :)
Unfortunately, there's not much that you can do about a low quality mic except purchase a better one. Built-in mics and webcam mics are really not what you should be using for voicing. I think most people on this site say that a Blue Snowball is about minimum, but I don't care as long as it is decent.
I'm saving up for a new microphone. Honestly, it may take a little while. Maybe til the end of summer but then I'm off to college. Do you think mine is decent? If not, I understand and I can go. I just gotta know if i have a shot as i am currently.
