[  Heartwarming, gentle ] Never ignore a person who loves you and cares for you. One day you may realize you've lost the moon while counting the stars.

[ Slow build to anger ]  People say everything happens for a reason. So when I punch you in the face,  just remember I have a reason.

[ Regretful ] When you're unhappy with yourself.  You blame the world. You become blind to its beauty. And sadly I was too blind to see what I was missing, now it's all too late.

[ Grateful, positive ] To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist.

[ Innocently ] I know who I was this morning. But I've changed a few times since then.

[ Helpful ] I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are. 

[ Threatening ] Throw me into the wolves, and I'll come back leading the pack.

[ Honest ] There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure. 

[ Dreamy/Happy ] You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.

[ Thinking ] I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not too sure. 

[ Ironic ]Life is short, smile while you still have teeth.

[ Cocky ] I'm not shy, I'm holding back my awesomeness so I don't intimidate you.

Monologues

Melanie is trying to come to terms with who she is and what her true calling is meant to be.  She does her best to try to express what’s happening.

MELANIE: 

You ever feel like you are two shades away from the life you’re supposed to be living?  (pause.) I’m there.  Sometimes I’ll look back, like right now—usually when shit hits the fan and I think about my past and where I went off track; try to point out the place in my mind, where it began cause, I know I was on the right path and something happened along the way that kind of bumped me over a bit and here I am; wondering if I add up, wondering if I am ever going to get back on the right track again.

In this dramatic female monologue, TIFFANY tries to come to terms with the problems she has about caring too much, too often.

Tiffany:

I want to care less about caring so much…I think that’s been my biggest—well, one of my problems, anyway…there have been times in my life when I have been lucky to ‘let go’ completely and I’m flying but flying in such a way where it feels as though something greater than me is carrying me afloat; a connection to something higher, wider.  Does that sound corny?  (beat) It’s different.  I want that all the time, more rooted naturally within my inner self if that makes any sense, without all the fuss and mental shit that clogs me up, getting in the way.  The battles are exhausting. Sometimes, I get the bear and other times, the bear gets me…
