Corrin was born to the Hoshido royal family as the third eldest child of five. She was kidnapped as a young child and raised by the royal family of the neighboring kingdom of Nohr. Corrin has the unprecedented ability to transform into a dragon, since her birth father was the discarded heart of the dragon given a human form, as not only can she transform, but also has pointed ears, a similar trait to Manakete from past times. She only gains the ability to transform after what happened to her mother. As a member of royalty, Corrin wields the power of Dragon's Vein, allowing her to alter the terrain of a map. Later, the legendary blade Yato chooses her as its wielder. A great war loomed over Hoshido and Nohr and soon the two kingdoms met on the battlefield. Corrin had to choose to side with one of the kingdoms and help with their respective causes or be neutral in an attempt to combat a larger threat by joining the two kingdoms together. Corrin is a kind person who cares deeply for the people she loves and will come to the aid of anyone who should ask her for it, giving rapid-firing apologies if she does something that upset others, likely inheriting this habit from her father. Despite having been sheltered throughout all of her childhood, she is quite social and conversational, as well as persuasive to the point of convincing some enemy soldiers to join her cause. Aside from being unusually charismatic and attracting people to her, Corrin is also mentioned to have a way with animals, as it is said, the horses in the stables like her. As she spends the majority of her time growing up within the walls of North Fortress, Corrin is very curious about the outside world, and quite eager to come across new sights. As proven by her support conversations with Silas, however, this trait of hers has somewhat diminished over time.
