Epherus is a regular young man, whom works as a carpenter in the village of Corlinne. His family (meaning him and his parents) used to be deeply religious. Their devotion to the church was second to none, but after his father's unfortunate passing, the church's reluctance to help him and his mother deal with the aftermath soured young Epherus on the church and its teachings.
His mother passed away soon after, and Epherus was left picking up the pieces, while taking up the craftsman's trade of carpenting to make a modest living for himself. When it comes to matters not related to the church, Epherus is a kind and caring young man. Though, he prefers to avoid trouble whenever possible.
That's really sweet of you. (Concerned) Say... Not that it's any of my business, but are you and the old man doing alright? He's been spending more time at the estate as of late. Surely he's aware of the unsettling rumors that have made the rounds in the village about how the master of the estate abuses his servants, right?
(Apologetic) I- I'm sorry. I must have spoken out of turn. I REALLY have no business asking you about that, and I should keep it that way.
(Angered/frustrated) The fact that this building is still standing here is an affront to our village and its inhabitants...
