The current Kuroi Widow, Mikoto Kurotsuki, is a chunin kunoichi from the long dead ninja clan known as the Akuhi Ryu. Originally a medical ninja, Mikoto and her older sister, Oseiko, would be near inseparable, until Oseiko failed her first assassination mission due to her own conscience. The two would end up escaping the village, but Mikoto opted to give herself up to the Akuhi Ryu in an attempt to give Oseiko an opportunity to escape.

Mikoto is unsure of her place as a part of Trinity Terra, being the newest member. Rough around the edges and introverted at times, Mikoto suffers from bouts of anxiety and depression, partially why she sacrificed herself to the clan to begin with. Because of the Favor that she was granted from the Bloodgrave lineage, Mikoto’s healing factor is faster than a regular human’s, and so there is no easy way out for her. But with the aid of Oseiko and her family, she has a chance to find a way to feel useful in the world around her. And as Kuroi Widow, alongside Jeanne and Pagan, she has an opportunity to protect those who cannot protect themselves.
