Charlie is a studious 10 year old boy with a love of space and a dislike/fear of dogs, so when he just wants to work on his model of the solar system for school but is left in the company of his grandma and her bulldog, he's not particularly enthusiastic about it. Only once the two start to bond throughout the short does Charlie warm up to his grandma's dog and they become friends. 

In terms of range, I imagine him sounding like the typical mid-range nerdy kid, similar to Lewis from Meet the Robinsons or Hogarth from the Iron Giant. 

*The lines for this role are very minimum as we are still debating whether or not to include dialogue or to tell the story entirely through music, however finding a fitting voice for the role to insert into our animatic would greatly help us in coming to a decision, thank you!
