Erich is a civilian who 4-Niner runs into.  He has developed Conspiracy theories about the state of the universe post BW.  He is based on Erich Ludendorf, the German general who promoted the "Stab in the back" myth about Germanies defeat in WWI.  Despite that, he does not need to sound German.
