Matt is an extraordinarily awkward young man who repeatedly fails miserably at getting Kristen to think of him as anything more than a friend. His general lack of self-confidence is noticeable at most times, but it reaches its zenith when he's around Kristen.

A mid-to-high masculine voice with a socially awkward flair is ideal. If you can make your voice crack on command, so much the better.

  • "Okay, Matt. You can do this. After months, you finally worked up the courage to ask her out...and she said 'yes'! That's right! Everything is going perfectly according to plan!" (overly self-assuring, excited)

  • "Kristen! You, uh, look great!" (awkward, abnormally tense)

  • "Maybe it's better this way. I mean, just look. He gets along with her so well...so, someone like me probably had no chance from the start." (resigned, sad)
