You don't have too be a teen, anybody of any age can audition. But keep in mind, this role will mostly be looking for Sorpanos or Mezzo-Sopranos.
On the third (and fourth) line, you hold the "you" for about 4-6 beats, it'd be a big help if you sing along (as you record) to the song. Just remember too wear headphones, because I kinda don't want any music going on in the background, but if you can't help it, it'll be fine.
If there is a "()" around some words, you can optionally sing it.
