Hitoha is a calm and composed woman with a strong love for her family, especially her granddaughters. However, she isn't particularly fond of her son-in-law since he rejected the Miyamizu shrine and its traditions to pursue a career in politics, calling him "that stupid son".

She is shown to be very traditional and takes her family's traditions very seriously, passing them down to her granddaughters.
