Shiro becomes the leader from day 1, he's a caring and fearless leader who genially cares about people. in our version he will be dad of Voltron. He's very afterschool special to a point where it's almost cringy. Since he's older he grew up when that stuff actually worked. I wrote him where even though he gets tooled on for being all speechy when it comes down to it, it still works on the group as youll see if you see the script.
