Your voice is really good! But there's something about the quality of your microphone that's just not working :(

    Do you think I can do something in, say, Audacity to improve the sound quality or is it entirely the mic's fault?

      mic plus your surroundings, you need a treated room or at least a closet! as for the mic, for both voice overs or singing it'd be a good idea to invest in a large diaphram condenser mic (and preferably stay away from USB mics if you can) you won't be able to do anything in audacity (or any software) that completely gets rid of the scratchy echoy sound your mic is producing
