Elves are supposed to be liked by many, but there are others who think they are outcasts. To some we are goddesses blessed with beauty to others we are mere slaves who live long enough to do their evil bidding. But meet the wrong kind of elf, and you will be cursed by the dark magic.
Money and power is all people desire and care about. Trash deserve to be cursed
