Lil Loki for Carin/Haiasis, Protector of Earth
Carin is a fleeting form of the God, Haisis, the protector of Earth. Carin is a vision that interacts with Miles throughout the story of Repose. She helps him move through life, as well as encouraging him to face his past, move on, and eventually forgive his brother Calvin.
Carin provides a warm, motherly presence too Miles. Though, she is often stern and frank with the young man. She is a form of a God. Her voice can be commanding, yet comforting at tomes. She always has the best intentions in mind. She wishes to help Miles overcome his past.
Their relationship is a WAY less sexualized version of Number Six and Baltar from Battlestar Galactica.

(recounting the past) The story goes there were six under the creators watch. One of us would willingly deceive the others. I know who that is. (beat) No--No, I would rather not tell you. Finding out now would only shatter your preconceived ideas.
That's not for you to cloud yourself with Miles. My only hope is that you learn to forgive and love the thing that happened, so you may grow stronger in the end.
