Joey is the current champion of Aria but instead of honoring her title she decided to retire and open up a bookstore/shuffle stop in Harmony Town. Joey is in her late 20s and a very calm lady. She is very passionate about Yokai Shuffle even though she no longer plays. She used to be headstrong in her youth, foul-mouthed, and brash. But after losing her husband in a shipwreck 5 years ago. The experience humbled her, and after becoming the champion she decided it was her duty to help guide the youth from Harmony Town to achieve greatness in Yokai Shuffle. It was what her husband wanted, and she figured the best way to do that would be to open a Shuffle Stop in their hometown of Harmony Town.
