Hazel's first babysitter. Izabel is the ghost of teenage girl of the planet Reach, who was killed by a landmine. Izabel helps Marko and Alana escape Reach in exchange for letting her bond with Hazel, which allows her to leave Reach, since she could only leave if she was bonded to a native, and Hazel was born on Reach, technically making her a native.
