James is from the settlement in Southern Synvek (A cowboy settlement), simply being curious he made his way up to the fabled Marthens Kingdom, he happened to come in during a huge raid from another kingdom, being a sheriff, thought he should help if he could. His amazing marksmanship and ability to handle tough situations had caught the attention of the Heroes of Marthens. Thus he was recruited.
