I can't tell Pearl how I feel because she'll blame herself and spiral outta control and I'll have to pick up the pieces. And I don't want anymore high-and-mighty advice from Garnet. I just want to know better for once. And I'm so sick of Amethyst acting like she's sooo mature now. I mean, it's like, get over yourself.

It’s just...in my dimension, Pink Diamond’s my mom…was, my mom, and she did a lot of the same stuff the big Pink Diamond from your universe did—starting a war, abandoning other gems and even people...dumping it at my fingertips. Thank goodness you’re nothing like her, but first seeing you was like looking at a walking talking flashback. Ever since I discovered the truth about my mom—and even before that point, I’ve been dealing with her problems. The people she hurt, the damage she did…in some cases, literally, if you know what I mean.

Half those gems are soldiers who fought by your side before getting corrupted and turned into monsters. They're lost and confused and still a little messed up, but they're getting the help they need.
