The Dororo in this series is portrayed as pathetic and lonesome like the original, but exaggerates on this by the character constantly expressing his regrets in life or comparing a situation to a past trauma. 

Dororo always speaks in a soft tone of voice no matter what emotion he's expressing.  The one exception to this is when he's extremely upset/crying, in which his voice becomes hoarse and almost hysterical changing completely. 

  • (Suprised) "I don't think I've felt this much joy since that one time Keroro actually apologized for breaking my knees!" 

  • (Crying pathetically) "Oh god, why did I accept that job at Walmart?!" 

  • (Hoarse/wheezing) "I THINK I'M HAVING AN ASTHMA ATTACK!"

    [think of that one episode of spongebob where he's dying from lack of water when reading this line]
