My ass he was. My father was a maniac and a FEIND. As soon as he did he planned on defecting to the Mauskevitz Freikorps and had intended to sell me, his son, to them to become one of their Übersoldats. So mom tries to protect me from him, he doesn't like that. Not. one. bit. So he acts crazier than usual and kills my mother, LAUGHING while he does it. Word gets to the Atlas Military of his crimes, and what did they do? Dismiss the case for "insufficient evidence."...insufficient...FUCKING...evidence. The night before Cinder and Emerald show up, my dad drugs me, next thing I know I feel the most unholy amount of pain and wake up, my fucking legs in the TRASH BIN, (points to his mechanical legs) AND HAVE THESE FUCKING THINGS. He was going to sell me to the Korps that night so I decided enough was enough. All of this happened because the world decided to leave me at the mercy of my MONSTER of a father. I kept moving forward and not a thing changed for me. The world bit me, so I decided to BITE BACK. (gets in Ruby's face) I bet you just plan on using me and Emerald like the Brotherhood did, and then your gonna give us the chair or lethal injection when you're done with us. So stop pretending like you all give a shit about me or Emmers. You don't. If anything I learned about this world, its that good people don't exist in this world, not any anymore.
