Once a cereal mascot of great acclaim, Captain Munch’s days of breakfast-induced stardom are now over. Dropped by his sponsors years back, Munch spends most of his nights in the pub, getting into bar fights that he inevitably loses. However, despite this downturn in his life, Captain Munch still remains confident and holds onto hope for a change in his life. Bluke, little does he know, will be the catalyst for just that.

Captain Munch is one of the main characters of the game, and as such will have a massive amount of lines. When he's in a normal mood, Captain Munch's voice is likely to sound worn-out, fitting for the kind of "has-been" character that he's become. It's likely that a deeper, older sounding voice would fit best. When he's in a fighting mood however, Captain Munch takes on a very different tone, letting fury (and sometimes a bit of drunken rage) roar through.

  • “To put it simply for ya Bluke, things could be better. I’d like to say things could be worse... but I’d be lyin’ to ya. I’m... uh... pretty much livin’ up shit creek right now, son.”

  • “They’re beating up my pride n’ joy, Bluke! You think I’m gonna take that?”

  • “Oh, ya wanna play dirty then, ya bastard?! I’m gonna soak yer fuckin’ beard in red!”

Hey, thanks for auditioning! Your voice is similar to what we’ve been imagining for Munch. However, if you’re up for messing with it a bit we think it could possibly fit even better. Your normal speaking voice is a pretty good fit, but making it even more worn-out sounding could make it better if possible. Munch is definitely in a pretty sorry state in the beginning of the game. The anger was also pretty fitting, especially on the last line, but losing it further could fit Munch’s intoxicated fury even more. We’d really appreciate it if you’d like to mess around with these suggestions!

Thanks a million for the feedback! I'm glad that I was able to get close to what you were looking for, and i'm absolutely willing to do another take with these instructions. I'll probably have to rough up my throat a bit to manage the voice, so i'll do it later tonight after I've gotten my other recording out of the way- Regardless, expect another take soon!
